COTECCONS has commissioned its first Pandora factory in Vietnam, confirming its capabilities in delivering foreign-invested projects that meet international standards.

Coteccons has officially handed over and commissioned Vietnam’s first Pandora jewelry manufacturing plant after 15 months of construction, meeting the highest standards of safety, quality, and sustainability. The project was designed and built in accordance with LEED Gold green building standards, marking a significant step forward for Vietnam in the global value chain of premium jewelry manufacturing.

The project, invested in by Pandora – a leading global jewelry group from Denmark – is located in VSIP III Industrial Park in Ho Chi Minh City (formerly Binh Duong Province) and covers more than 50,000 square meters on a 7.5-hectare site. It is Pandora’s fourth jewelry manufacturing facility worldwide and the company’s first factory outside Thailand.

The General Contractor’s Capabilities in Delivering Industrial Projects of International Standard.

Acting as the general contractor, Coteccons executed all works, including the production workshop (electroplating workshop, silver-plating workshop with a three-story structure and steel roof), office facilities, auxiliary buildings, as well as technical infrastructure and internal site development. The entire project was constructed in accordance with international standards, fully complying with technical, safety, and environmental requirements.

Coteccons’ project management capabilities were demonstrated from the very beginning when the project encountered a major challenge: prolonged rainfall directly affected the foundation works. Coteccons proactively analyzed the geology, soil conditions, and weather patterns, then implemented an automated rainwater drainage system and replaced ordinary soil with sand for backfilling. Although this approach increased material costs, it helped maintain construction progress, ensure foundation quality, and optimize the project’s overall cost efficiency.

At the same time, special attention was given to the selection of high-quality materials, modern imported equipment, and qualified subcontractors to ensure the durability and stability of critical components, especially in areas where chemicals are used, polishing is carried out, or equipment is exposed to corrosion due to the specific operating conditions of the plant.

From the planning stage through to project handover, Coteccons’ professional construction management capabilities, flexible engineering solutions, and determination to “overcome challenges and achieve excellence” helped ensure progress, quality, and safety. This achievement confirmed the company’s compliance with international general contractor standards and received high praise from the investor.

Refined craftsmanship – approaching jewelry-making standards.

Pandora, a leading global jewelry brand, sets strict standards for aesthetics and craftsmanship. These standards are directly reflected in the factory’s design, where every element must be both technically precise and exquisitely finished.

One of the special project features was the polished concrete flooring—a type of concrete surface treated with specialized equipment and chemicals to achieve an ideally level, smooth, and glossy finish with high hardness and durability. The investor’s requirement was to achieve uniformity of aggregate particles after surface polishing, as concrete aggregate is mixed and distributed in a completely random manner, making it impossible to control the position of each individual particle. Coteccons researched and tested various construction methods and strictly controlled each stage of execution, thereby meeting the investor’s requirements and ensuring a consistent gloss and uniform appearance across a large surface area.

This quality-control mindset has been consistently applied throughout the entire project. Every detail, every line, and every corner has been carefully executed with precision and excellence, much like Pandora crafts its exquisite jewelry pieces.

Sustainable construction – putting people at the center.

The project has been designed and operated in accordance with LEED Gold standards, aiming to set new benchmarks in the global jewelry industry in terms of environmental footprint, waste recycling, and CO₂ emissions. Coteccons applies the “Reduce – Reuse – Recycle” principle throughout the construction process to ensure efficient resource utilization and minimize environmental impact.

In addition, Coteccons has consistently implemented other ESG criteria throughout the construction process. Safety culture is a top priority, with more than 4 million safe working hours achieved. Worker protection regulations are strictly enforced, particularly for pregnant women and vulnerable groups. An independent worker hotline has received over 250 calls and provided support in more than 50 cases. At the same time, worker welfare initiatives—such as Tet (Lunar New Year) gift distribution and lemonade provision during the hot season—demonstrate practical care and support, creating a strong moral foundation for the project.

Putting people at the center, Coteccons cares not only for its direct workforce but also for the craftsmen who will work at the factory in the future. Before construction began, the team visited Pandora’s factory in Thailand and, based on the findings, proposed optimal solutions ranging from layout planning, ventilation, fire protection, and dust extraction systems to increasing the number of women’s restrooms. These efforts reflect Coteccons’ commitment to creating a safe, comfortable, and sustainable working environment for the factory’s future employees.

Thanks to this approach, Coteccons not only delivers projects that meet international standards but also comprehensively integrates sustainability criteria, going beyond conventional construction practices and laying the foundation for long-term efficiency and sustainable project development.

Jewelry crafted by Vietnamese artisans is stepping onto the global stage.

Upon its expected commissioning in 2026, the factory is projected to create around 7,000 jobs and reach a production capacity of approximately 60 million pieces per year, increasing Pandora’s total global manufacturing capacity by about 50%. From that moment on, premium jewelry crafted by Vietnamese artisans will officially enter the global market, affirming Vietnam’s new position in fine craftsmanship and high-tech manufacturing.

Coteccons is proud to partner with Pandora in the construction of its factory in Vietnam, laying an important foundation for strengthening Vietnam’s position on the global jewelry manufacturing map. The Pandora factory project once again demonstrates Coteccons’ capabilities as a general contractor for foreign direct investment projects that meet international standards, while contributing to sustainable development and enhancing the standing of Vietnam’s industrial sector on the global stage.
